Can someone record the episode? I don't think people outside of the US can view MTV's videos.

Fantastic. I do not have a combo VCR-TV to tape it. I wish I did because I find having a TV-VCR combo let's me tape programs very easily.
I will definately tune in though to watch this.
Sunday 3:pm on MTV?
Awesome!

This sounds quite interesting. I don't think I will be able to watch it as I live in the UK but for those that live in America I imagine it would be well worth watching.

I just finished watching the show, and it was a bit difficult to watch. It brought back painful memories of my stuttering in my youth, when it was at its worse.
The show itself, however, was good. And I do congratulate the people who stutter for participating in the show, because I know it wasn't easy at all, especially having cameras in their faces. But thankfully, the show didn't come across as exploitive. As a matter of fact, it was informative. I liked the speech therapist and coach...and the assignments they had the group of stutters perform. I felt the exposure therapy was a very helpful technique. I personally always had avoidance issues. So exposing myself to my fears really helped me gain speech confidence over the years...and it still does help.

I liked the episode. I thought it was interesting how 4 times as many men stutter than women, yet 2 out of the 3 subjects on the show were women.

Doh!! I missed watching this today. I just got home from shopping at 5:00pm just now.
I would have taped it so I could watch it later like right now, but I do not have a VCR-TV combo to instantly program to record the show.
I'm very upset I missed it, but I realy needed groceries, and the only time the bus comes for me to take it to the grocery store is at 3:30pm.
Anyway I can still watch it??
Or can someone upload the episode onto the forum, or Youtube??
Dam, I want to see this thing!

I wonder if it was because it was difficult for them to find men who stutter to participate.

If anyone has the ability to record the programme and can upload to a file sharing website I would be very grateful?
It has not been shown in the UK yet (not sure if it will?) and the website will not allow non-US IP addresses to view the videos. I have tried using a proxy server to hide my IP address but this does not seem to work.
Thanks,

Mtv doesn't have this video episode posted on its website yet. I just don't understand why people from the U.K. can't access Mtv's website.
I'm going to dvr this episode tomorrow, and try to think of a way for you all from the U.K. to see it.

If someone is good enough to record this digitally, I would sooner it be uploaded to a file sharing website such as Megaupload. With Megaupload the file limit is 500MB and so you might need to split the file using WINRAR if it is larger than 500MB.
http://www.megaupload.com/
I uploaded the documentary "Help Me To Speak" to Megaupload. It is stilll available for download. When I uploaded the limit was 100MB so I split the file into 4.

I had the show programmed to record, but the program started late and my dvr cut off the last few minutes of it. So now I'm going to have to recorder it again when it comes. This time though, I'll adjust my dvr so it will run over time to make sure it recorders the whole program. And then afterwards, I was thinking of transfering the show to a DVD-R and rip it on my computer and convert it to a either an avi or mpg file so it can be easily uploaded. However, in the meantime, I did find find a promo clip about the Mtv show on an AOL video page. Check it out here:

I also came across a blog of a stutter who tried to get on the Mtv program. Here's a link to his blog.

I just saw this 2:24 clip a few hours ago. It is a fantastic preview of this fantastic episode that I missed!!
There were 3 participants of what the preview showed. The one guy, Tim, I think was worse of the 3. I want to see how they all dealt with their own situation, and what their outcomes were.
One of the people that were listening to one of the stutterers tried to help her with what she was stuttering on. The girl who was stuttering was saying a word with the F sound. So the listener was saying "floor?" to try to help her??
I applauded the listener for doing that! She cared about what the listener had to say, and wanted to know what she was trying to say, so she helped her.
Main point: I realy want to see this dang episode, and I wish it would be uploaded to Youtube from whoever may have it. Seeing the preview trailer made me want to watch it even moreso!

I'm waiting for the episode to air again so I can record it. It seems Mtv keeps replaying all the old episodes of True Life over and over again. But the one on stuttering, has aired only two times. I'm sure though they'll be airing it again soon.

While I've been waiting for mtv to air the True Life: I Stutter episode, I noticed on their website they uploaded a couple of video clips from the program.

The episode is difficult to watch, but does show that we're not alone in our struggles. It also showed that despite our challenges, we can still pursue our dreams and goals. We just have to mainly combat our own fears.
