Visit a stuttering support group without leaving home ?
There are local support groups for those who stutter in many cities. Typically, these are group meetings that are held weekly or monthly. A support group is a wonderful place to feel that your stuttering is accepted and supported. It is also a time to feel relaxed and a time to feel like speaking freely. Some of the many benefits of attending a local support group include help with therapy carryover, self-help programs, coping, public speaking, job interviews, self-advocacy, self expression, and comfort, just to name a few.

Stutter Radio is a weekly commercial-free live radio program for those who stutter that's broadcast live SATURDAYS at 9 AM ET. You can listen, you can call-in, or you can use "chat" to write comments and ask questions. The first broadcast is Saturday, February 9 at 9 AM ET. Join us at www.BlogTalkRadio.com/stutterradio

I do not understand this Eastern Time, Central Time, Mountain Time thing.

The times are 8-8:30 am or 9-9:30 am that the show starts.

Which time does the show start from where I am from???

8am or 9am

I am from NY.

Reply ASAP. I don't want to miss this radio show because of the stupid time zone thing!!

I missed the live show - but you can replay the show at anytime. You can call in only when the show is on air. 9am US eastern standard time on Saturdays.

I'm listening to the program as I online chat right now - no callers for the first 5 minutes. I wonder if stutterers are reluctant to speak on the telephone?

As a nasty stutterer, I sure didn't call in! I listened the whole time. A lady, and 2 other guys-

There were only a few people that called in saying they stuttered- but they could have fooled me-!!

They did not stutter at all- if they did stutter they sure did a good job of hiding it!

Wow what a great show...I wish I wouldn't have forgotten, I would have called in. :) I think I'm going to start working on Saturday mornings also...so hopefully they do a Monday night or something like Ricky mentioned. :) That'd be great!

How great is the internet! I mean, it allows us to connect to many other people. Count me in on the next show (ALTHOUGH IT IS 6 AM)
