Istar?

yah i went to istar... the best money i ever spent... when i took the three week intensive clinic... everybody there walked away fluent... the key to keeping the fluency is practicing every day... ahh prices are a bit expensive... like 2 to 3 grand canadian for the intensive... but its well worth it.

How long ago did you go through the program, and are you still fluent? I've been through the HCRI program twice; I've walked out the door completely fluent and remained fluent for awhile, but even with daily practice I fell back into my usual stuttering pattern fairly quickly. I'm just wondering if what you've experience is spontaneous fluency. I know mine was.

well i took a three week intensive back when i was 15 so like 6 years ago... i walked away completely fluent but it only lasted for about 2 months because i never practiced or did any maintenance. then recently i went back for a 5 day refreshor. practiced up on the skills a bit but i was no where near fluent after the refreshor but it helped me get back on track relearn the skills and then i practiced a lot for the past 6 months and i have gotten up to a good level of fluency. but i also use my skills with everybody.... like did you use skills .... like when i use skills everybody knows that iam talking differently.. i just dont care what people think .

exactly! haha ... my stutter was really bad before and it affected my life so much and i swore to myself i would do anything to make it better, so thats what i did. But i star helped me out a lot.

Derek181 its great to hear that the istar program really helped you :). Im schedule for their summer intensive clinic i cant wait..
