Go to the following site and take a read through.
Tell me what you think??
http://www.ccfluency.com
A previous post under the thread "Has anyone cured their stuttering" mentioned this 14.95 E-book, but I thought I would make a seperate thread for it to post your thoughts on it.
This guy says he can help us stop stuttering? He describes nothing of how he does it.
I would like to know how to get my credit card to drop this payment if this guy is another fraud.
Suppose if I do order it, or another one here does order it?
Can we have the bank have our 14.95 returned to us if this advice of his fails???
I am not letting this guy keep $15 if he cheats me by providing me misleading treatment.

Happy,
You would do what is called a Credit Card Chargeback-- You would call your credit card company and let them know that you wish to dispute a charge for the following reason: "quality of goods not as promised"--Also let them know that you "returned" the product [by simply fwd'ing back the book to them by email]
They will immediately issue you a temporary credit and then they'll send you some paperwork to fill out... The credit will remain permanent BUT the merchant MIGHT rebut your claim--requiring one more round of paperwork from you; in the end, the merchant cannot win-- especially since your physical card and signature were not present.
You can also EMAIL the merchant--telling them to give you a refund within 48 hours or you'll do a chargeback;reminding them that the chargeback will not only reverse the sale--but probably cost them an additional $15-$25 fee.. Most merchants wish to avoid that for obvious [and other] reasons--and when they see you threaten "chargeback"--they will refund you on their own;making it simpler for all parties involved.

I purchased it --'save ya the time.
It's 37 pages long [in PDF format]...
THe first 10-15 pages or so--are exactly what *I've* been telling you-- that stuttering can be overcome, that there are a NUMBER of ways to do it, that there is a population of people who have done it--and that first and foremost, you need to begin subscribing to THAT reality and not the "there is no hope" for stuttering reality that "experts" claim. He then goes on to describe, just like I do, how overcoming stuttering is not quick and painless, but rather--is a lot of hard work, effort, and even heartache..
The balance of his book is just, in my opinion, general, decently-presented information on changing your thought patterns..--i.e. thinking fluency instead of thinking stuttering.. These are the specific steps the book outlines and teaches:
*Develop an unwavering belief that stuttering can be overcome [this is what I have been working to help readers of this board DO, by the way]
*Cease wasting time and energy trying to figure out who is to blame for your stutt.
*Understand how thoughts affect the reality you experience
*Develop in-depth knowledge about the stuttering pattern under which you operate
*Evaluate and change beliefs and perceptions
*Understand your current values and change where necessary
*eliminate and/or increase your thresshold for fear, anxiety, and stress
*Shift your thoughts from stuttering to fluency
*Request help if needed
[In my brief scan of the 37 page book, I noted there were no real exercises..and rarely any advice on HOW to do these things-- in MY opinion--just some brief personal anecdotes--and information re: the need to do the above steps]
You're welcome,
Andrew : )

Maybe. I think if he gave more of a preview of the book or an outline--similar to the one I took from above--it would be better--so you could make an informed decision. He is clearly, though, another of the thousands of people who have truly become fluent and understand why THEY are fluent. So, if nothing else, his book/his name/his story---should serve as more proof to you that despite what the "experts" claim--you can absolutely overcome stuttering-- be it his way, your own way, or any way.
