Hello,
My name is James. I never really spoke to anyone about my stuttering but I think this a good place to start.
I am 19 years old and a college student. Stuttering has been a major part in my entire life. When I was younger I would stutter a lot but in recent years I learned to control it better. Most of the time when I stutter not it is when I am very stressed or neuvous. Over the years I overcame a lot of obsticles such as public speaking (in front of college classes, PA announcements at work, etc...) but stuttering is still apart of my life. Everytime I have to speak to someone I quickly tell myself "don't sutter" it sounds stupid but it has really affected me a lot. I hope one day I can stop and never have to tell myself "don't stutter" before I speak ever again. I hope here I can find some resources that may be of some help to me.
Thanks,
James
