has anyone one tried alternative therapy to erradicate stuttering?

i used to go to a chiniese acupuncturist.
he placed needles under my chin, forehead my arm and on my foot.

:eek:

anyway visited him for treatment for around 6 months and the results did not erradicate the stutter.

:(

i cant remember a great deal but i used to go for the therapy around 15 yrs ago.

acupunture is supposed to relax the nerves but my nerves wer'nt relaxed when it came to speaking task in every day life.

anyways i tried it and it did not work for me soo i continue to find that elusive key that will unlock my stutter.

A new reply to an old thread - I found kinesiology very helpful.
I have also tried several other alternative therapies, but found kinesiology to be the most effective.
The only drawback is that all of these therapies need money. So does my bank account :(

Nope, never have. I didn't even know there were alternative treatments for stuttering.

Kinesiology isn't aimed at any one issue.

It deals with "sabotages" that your body has created to prevent healing from taking place, and your body answers questions asked by the practitioner.

I'll give you an example you can all try out on somebody.

Ask the person to hold their arm out straight at right angles to the ground. Ask them to visualise a time in their life when they were happy. Give them a few seconds, then gently press down on their arm. The arm will hopefully stay pretty much where it was.

Now ask the person to keep the arm in the same place, and to think about a time in their life when they were really sad or unhappy. Again give them a few seconds, and press down on the arm using the same gentle pressure as before. The arm should now give way to your touch.

This means that the body is strong when happy, and weak when sad or unhappy.

This theory is expanded into beliefs people have that may be holding them back from achieving whatever it is they desire to achieve.

This practice can also be applied to food and drink; hold an item of food/cup of drink in one hand, and hold out the other arm horizontal. Ask somebody else to press your arm down. If your arm stays rigid (ie strong) then the food is good for you. If your arm drops, them the food is bad for your body.

You can even try it by thinking of people......

Give it a try and see.......
